This week’s boxes feature delicious certified organic mizuna from York Town Organics. Organic growers tend to be a bit more at the mercy of the seasons, so we haven’t had a lot from Clare and Bruce in the past few months, but it’s great to have their baby leaves back in boxes this week! York Town salad greens, roots and berries are certified organic and harvested by hand, and are grown in well-tended raised beds and poly-tunnels. They employ three locals throughout the year, and their son Ben is also involved. In addition to local retailers and their own farm gate stall, and obviously our boxes, York Town Organics greens are often found on the menus of local restaurants, a testament to the quality of what they produce.
