All-Tasmanian wholesale offers – 29th October

As we move into November the shift into spring will become a bit more apparent.

From this week we will no longer be able to source Southern Fields cauliflower, Duggan Brand apples (although we should still be able to get some from Lucaston Park here and there), Hansen pears and pumpkin. Dendra Gardens have advised that they will no longer be growing bunched beetroot, snow peas and fennel, but the good news is they have some other exciting lines coming up in summer and will also continue growing celery next year after a successful trial this year.

This week we should have limited supply of eggplant from Brandsema available, and Southern Fields will also have full size cos available (as opposed to the cos heart twin packs, which will continue to be available), and also iceberg lettuce. We’ll also have some more home-grown lemons available – these are meyers from a large productive tree in a home garden in Moonah, and should be available every few weeks for the next month or two.

Coming up this month:

  • asparagus (almost certainly next week)
  • capsicum
  • truss tomatoes
  • strawberries (these may be on a collection only basis, as we generally don’t get them until after our normal delivery time)
  • variety lettuces from Grown for Taste
  • fresh garlic (with bulbs as opposed to the spring onion size available last month)
