*We’ll be operating as usual during the school holidays but you might not be – please let us know as soon as you can if you’re not going to be home for your deliveries on these dates. The deadline each week for new orders, cancellations and changes to your existing order is 10 am Monday.
If you’re ordering for the first time or you’re changing your delivery/pick-up status you’ll need to specify which of these two options you’d prefer when ordering, along with any items you’d like excluded. New and existing customers are also welcome to order a single box to try the service first, and as an added incentive, delivery (normally $5 extra) is free with your first box. Delivery is available in a wide range of areas, and we also offer third-party delivery to locations in the Huon and the east coast.
Winter is all about root veg, brassicas and fruit and veg that store well (pumpkin, onion, apples, pears, nuts). Tomatoes, capsicum, zucchini, berries and stone fruit are all a distant memory, but there’s no need to give into stodge! Cauliflower, broccoli and pumpkin make great salads especially when coupled with nuts and herbs, and root veg like turnips, swede, celeriac, parsnip and Jerusalem artichokes make super-light mash; beetroot, cabbage and radish are all equally at home cooked or raw. And whilst they do grow more slowly at this time of year, leafy greens (even some lettuce) will still be a regular inclusion in boxes.
Remarkably, we’ll continue to have delicious, creamy Tasmanian Avoland avocados available in July – forget the notion that they’re a hot-weather food and maybe look to Japan for winter inspiration – but this will probably be the last month, so make the most of it!
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to order for July or for any enquiries, and we’ll get back to you soon!
