With autumn starting to kick in, it’s looking like a rather nice week for Tassie produce this week, with quite a few special items available.
We’ll have lovely quinces from Lucaston Park Orchards available for as long as stocks last, and our figs are coming on pretty well now so we should be able to supply the first couple of comers on these this week. We’re also going to be ordering comice pears from Canes Orchard this week – not sure on the quantity available so please let me know how much you’d like and I’ll let you know what I can do.
York Town Organics have their certified organic tatsoi, salad mix and dill on special this week (prices in the “small order” section) and Richmond Farm have tatsoi bunches, along with their generous-sized mizuna bunches.
Dendra Market Gardens have medium sized fennel available which are particularly lovely and good value at $18/10, and Grown for Taste have started picking their delicious Brussels sprouts – 5kg/$30, and with the added bonus of not being packed in the Devil’s own material (polystyrene).
We’re hoping to get our hands on some sweet red and yellow Cipollini onions, but need to order a fairly large quantity – if you’re interested in these at $32.5/5kg box please let me know.
Our apologies to those who placed orders for Premium Fresh lines last week – Chris, the sales manager, was away on leave and things went a bit awry. He’s back this week; if you want to order any PF lines please let me know TODAY as I need to get our order sent down tomorrow to accommodate logistics for what’s looking to be a pretty big week.
