All-Tasmanian wholesale offers – 14th September

The change of the season is really upon us now – this week will be the last week for Brussels sprouts, and also for parsnips, for the season. If you haven’t pre-ordered ordered parsnips for this week please let me know immediately and I may be able to squeeze you in! Premium Fresh also have loose beetroot available – and we’ll be ordering in some of these very cute “undersize” swede which are also $18.

Southern Fields have a surplus of cauliflowers this week so we can offer these for a reduced price of $2.6 each or 10 for $23 – their cos hearts are crisp and delicious and also available; this week as we’re using them in the boxes we’re offering them as individual twin packs as well as boxes of ten.

We’re ordering with Hills Hydroponics this week so a range of herbs are available – basil, tarragon, mint, chives, thyme – and Richmond Farm have some coriander available (these are harvested with root included), along with kale, silverbeet and fennel.

Pears are also available this week – we’re not sure how much longer the season will last so this may be the last week we have them available. Three varieties of potatoes are also available – Nicolas at just $8/10kg from Nicky, Maiflowers from Moore’s and up to dates from John.

Last week we discovered that York Town Organics offer their certified organic salad and cooking greens in bulk 1kg packs, which come in at around $24 depending upon the line. This includes a whole range of options – mixed salad, rocket, mizuna, tatsoi, baby kale, baby silverbeet, lime streaks. If you’re interested in these please let me know and we can order them in for you.

Pumpkins are short this week and we’re not ordering with Dendra Market Gardens this week – we will be back online with both next week. We’re also hoping that it won’t be long until new-season cherry tomatoes from Brandsema are available – we’ll keep you posted!
