This week we’re ordering with Elphin Grove and Sassafras farms, so please stock up on celeriac and parsnips if you need them – we need to pre-order the parsnips about a week in advance but if you hurry we may be able to squeeze you in for this week. Celeriac orders will be fine as long as they’re in by the usual Tuesday lunchtime deadline.
We’ll also have a consignment coming down from Dendra Gardens – Dendra specialise in great value, fresh bunched veg, and we have a great range available this week including silverbeet at $20 for 10 bunches. Dendra’s 10kg Dutch creams and Kennebecs are some of the best quality potatoes I’ve seen in the bagged potato market – great value at $10/10kg.
Old School Farm will be sending down a load of their delicious, fresh savoy cabbages this week, and we’ll also have their daikon radish available in small quantities – $3.8 each or 10 for $35. Not to be confused, The Old Farm (at Port Arthur) have sent up a ute-load of whopping Ironbark pumpkin – these babies weigh in at as much as 10kg a pop – and we also still have the more compact sweet greys from Charlie’s Pumpkins.
