As we move into winter, the range of local produce is starting to shrink – truss and sauce tomatoes from Cracknells will only be available this week and possibly next week before finishing for the season. Supply of local carrots will also be coming to a halt soon. Most other root veg, however, will continue to be available for the next couple of months. Don’t forget to get your orders in for celeriac TODAY if you’d like these for this week.
Butternut pumpkin is available from Charlie’s Pumpkins at Cressy this week – this will be the last week but we expect supply of local grey pumpkin from a range of growers to continue for the next few months. We’re also ordering with Hills Hydroponics this week, so a range of herbs are available, but supply may be limited on some lines.
We’ll do our best to source home-grown citrus – this week we may have lemons and limes coming in, and possibly cumquats, but as we’re sourcing the fruit from home-growers it’s hard to know when it will be available. Thanks for your patience.
