Orders for our December all-Tasmanian produce boxes are now open!

Orders for our all-Tasmanian fruit and veg boxes are now open for December! To place an order, just let us know by email what box type and optional add-ons you’d like on each of the following dates. If you’re ordering for the first time or you’re changing your delivery/pick-up status you’ll need to specify which of these two options you’d prefer when ordering. New customers are also welcome to order a single box to try the service first, and as an added incentive, delivery (normally $5 extra) is free with your first box. Delivery is available in a wide range of areas, and we also offer third-party delivery to locations in the Huon and the east coast.

We will offer a “pick-your-own” Christmas box for delivery or pick-up on the 22nd of December, with a wide range of delicious local veg and all-Tasmanian seasonal berries and stone-fruit to choose from, and some extra special Christmas treats (like Christmas cake from R.T. Fish bakery in Moonah and Philadelphia Bakers’s delicious Cinnamon and Maple sourdough). We’re also offering a range of Christmas gift options for the foodie in your life, which can be added to your order for delivery on the 15th or 22nd.

The sun has finally come out, strawberries are plentiful and cherries won’t be far behind. We’re hoping for peas and green beans by mid December, and new season’s roasting potatoes, raspberries and blueberries should be ready for Christmas. We’re also expecting the first of this season’s Tassie avocados any minute now…

Please email backyardbounty.vegiebox@gmail.com to order for December or for any enquiries, and we’ll get back to you on Saturday and Sunday after the weekly Thursday-Friday packing and delivering madness is over!
P.S. Following the Christmas box on the 22nd of December, Mr, Mrs, Miss and Pops BB will be putting our feet up for a week or two, and putting our thinking caps on to make 2018 an even bigger, better year of Tassie produce! We’re very grateful to you – our valued customers – for supporting our mission to get Tasmanians eating more local food and hope that we’re helping you learn more about where your food comes from and how to eat with the seasons.
