Orders for our all-Tasmanian fruit and veg boxes are now open for October! To place an order, just let us know by email (firstname.lastname@example.org) what box type* and optional add-ons you’d like on each of the following dates. If you’re ordering for the first time or you’re changing your delivery/pick-up status you’ll need to specify which of these two options you’d prefer when ordering. New customers are also welcome to order a single box to try the service first, and as an added incentive, delivery (normally $5 extra) is free with your first box. Delivery is available in a wide range of areas, and we also offer third-party delivery to locations in the Huon and the east coast.

We’re also offering a few great new optional Tasmanian add-ons for October, and we’ve also got a few specials to celebrate the weather warming up a bit and/or school holidays! Three Peaks Organics have supplied us with delicious packs of freeze-dried certified organic blueberries which we’re offering for the super price of $4.5 a pack; in the same vein we’ll also continue to offer the Forager Foods freeze-dried apple wedges. We’re also offering taster 100mL bottles of Coronea Grove olive oil for $8.5, so you can try before you invest in a full 1L cask.
Feedback from the flavoured salts from A Pinch Of was overwhelmingly positive last month, so we’re offering a range of these in 40g pouches for $4, and we’re also offering Robyn’s delicious Dukkah ($4.5), made using local and native ingredients! Perfect for dipping with Rob’s delicious olive oil, which brings us to our two special school holiday packs:
Party Pack ($23.5 – save $3) – 100mL olive oil, delicious Sloe paste from McHenry Distillery, native Dukkah and a sourdough Baguette from Philadelphia Bakers. Perfect for entertaining – just add cheese – or just a bit of a gourmet indulgence when the kids go to bed!
Shack Pack ($10 – save $6!) – white or wholemeal block loaf from Manna Bakehouse, tomato sauce and blackcurrant cordial from BB, and a kg of brown onions. If you’re heading down to the shack during the holidays, just add snags and your BBQ is all set!
These two offers are only available for October, and can be purchased separately (no need to order a vegie box if you just want the pack*). However, please note that the items in the packs cannot be swapped for other equivalent items
One final special offer for October – the Geezer is back with his famous crumpets, so to celebrate we’re offering a “one for the fridge, one for the freezer” special: two packs for $9**. As a fresh, natural product, these delicious crumpets only last a few days in the fridge, so we often put one pack in the freezer to enjoy later in the week! Matt’s had a bit of Barney Rubble lately – after being left in the lurch by a contractor with his kitchen renovations, he’s struggled to find a viable temporary kitchen to cook the crumpets in, so the more crumpets we can sell, the more bees and honey he’ll have to sort out his renovation woes!
October is an exciting time in the local growing calendar – after the “hunger gap” at the beginning of spring, lots of tasty goodies all start to come online at once! We’ve just seen the start of cherry tomatoes and cucumbers from Brandsema – Matt Cracknell is hoping that truss tomatoes should be ready to go by the second week of October too, and capsicums from Tassie Pride won’t be far behind. Eggs are a seasonal product too – we welcome back Banticks Farm with their pastured, 450 hens per hectare eggs at $7 a dozen (these will only be available during natural laying season, from around October-April). Asparagus is almost upon us, and David Jennings is hoping that we might even have some strawberries in October – fingers crossed! We’re also hoping we might be able to find some new season’s pink eyes before the month is out…
Please email email@example.com to order for October or for any enquiries, and we’ll get back to you on Saturday and Sunday after the weekly Thursday-Friday packing and delivering madness is over!
